National Conference

In National paper Conference prospective authors are invited to submit their papers. Conference papers can be an effective way to try out new ideas, introduce your work to colleagues, and hone your research questions. Presenting at a conference is a great opportunity for gaining valuable feedback from a community of scholars and for increasing your professional stature in your field.
A conference paper is often a written document as well as an oral presentation. The papers submitted by the authors will be assessed on the basis of their technical suitability, scope of work and plagiarism. The shortlisted papers of will be accepted for presentation and publication after conference proceedings.

Technical Model Presentation

Technical Model presentations serve engineering, scientific and high tech purposes, describing advances in technology, problem resolution, and product design and project status. In general, technical presentations serve one of two purposes: (1) to inform (e.g., knowledge transfer, classroom instruction) or (2) to persuade (e.g., convincing others to adopt a design approach or accept the results of an evaluation process).

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), individuals who are well-versed in the topic being presented, generally make technical presentations. Audiences may range from highly technical (fellow engineers and technologists) to non-technical, and part of the challenge of preparing and presenting technical material is gauging the knowledge level of the audience.
One reason for this is that, unlike other public speaking occasions, technical presenters are not usually expert presenters. Instead, they’re usually experts in the material, but not in projecting, engaging the audience, demonstrating enthusiasm, using humor and other best practices successful presenters use. They may have little or no preparation for, or background in, public speaking, yet they are required to do so. Often they present material as if the material should speak for itself, no additional enthusiasm or expression required.

Registration process-

  • Interested participants will have to register online
  • All the registered candidates have to submit online an abstract of maximum 2 pages which will cover:
    1. Idea of model
    2. Uniqueness
    3. Need and application
    4. Problem solution (if any)
  • All the submitted abstracts will be shortlisted after extensive evaluation by competent authority and the finalists will be called for their exhibition on the event day.
  • The finalists will have to showcase their technical model exhibition on the event day and they will be open to audience to educate them about their model.
  • All finalists will get their participation certificate on event day.

Workshop: Robotics(Gesture Controlled)

In this gesture controlled robot workshop we are going to control a robot using hand gestures. This is an easy, user-friendly way to interact with robotic systems.

Robots are electro-mechanical systems that are operated by a computer program. Robots can be automatic or semi-automatic. An autonomous or automatic robot is not controlled by human and it acts on its own decision by sensing the environment.

Majority of the industrial robots are autonomous as it is required that they operate at high speed and with great accuracy. But some applications require semi-autonomous or human controlled robots.

The most common control system for controlling robots are-

  1. Voice reorganization
  2. Tactile or touch control
  3. motion control
  4. Gesture control

Here we are going to build a robot that is controlled by hand gestures. The project is based on wireless communication, where the data from the hand gestures is transmitted to the robot over RF link (RF Transmitter – Receiver pair). The project is divided into transmitter and receiver section. The circuit diagram and components are explained separately for transmitter and receiver sections.

Workshop: 3D Game Designing + Augmented reality (AR)

In the Augmented Reality workshop, we are going to learn how 3D games are designed using this Augmented Reality Platform. The workshop combines the work of AR and Code for gaming. The biggest Example of Augmented Reality based Game is Pokémon GO.

Augmented Reality is direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are "augmented" by computer-generated or extracted real-world sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data.

Augmented-reality display will eventually look much like a normal pair of glasses, informative graphics will appear in your field of view and audio will coincide with whatever you see. These enhancements will be refreshed continually to reflect the movements of your head. The basic idea of augmented reality is to superimpose graphics, audio and other sensory enhancements over a real-world environment in real time.

Workshop: Industry 4.0

The combination of industry and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology with Cloud computing is Industry 4.0. You are going to deal with the same through the workshop. Industry 4.0 actually means machines using self-optimization, self-configuration and even artificial intelligence to complete complex tasks in order to deliver vastly superior cost efficiencies and better quality goods or services.
The industrial internet is a term given by General Electric (GE) to describe the way that big data analytics combined with the Internet of Things can produce extended opportunities for industries. This is also a part of Industry 4.0.Industry 4.0 is another area where the Internet of Things looks to play a huge role. This is due to the sheer volume of sensors and "things" that have the potential to feed information into it and add value to manufacturing processes.

Topics that will be emphasized on-

  • Introduction to smart solutions and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Research and status of current smart deployments.
  • Government and social influence on smart technologies.
  • Examples of deployed smart solutions.
  • IT and Operations – how can we get them to talk the same language?

Entrepreneurship Activities

Entrepreneurship is a term that's often defined simply as running your own business. But there's a difference between a "business owner" and an "entrepreneur," and although one can be both, what distinguishes entrepreneurship is a person's attitude.
Passion is the real drive, an entrepreneur is someone who can take any idea, whether it be a product and/or service, and have the skill set, will, and courage to take extreme risk to do whatever it takes to turn that concept into reality and not only bring it to market but make it a viable product and/or service that people want or need.
The Entrepreneurship activities will inspires engineers to work on their innovative ideas and also give them guidance overcoming obstructions in their pathway to be an entrepreneur. With the aim of awareness about Entrepreneurship, this event seeks to orient engineers for better opportunities.
